Diaspora Land Applications in Zimbabwe

OFFICIAL POSITION ON THE ISSUE OF LAND ALLOCATION TO THE DIASPORA 

The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, and Rural Resettlement welcomes applications for land by Zimbabweans in the diaspora. Upon receipt of the application, the Ministry forwards it to provinces of the applicants choice where a waiting list is drawn up. Currently government is undertaking a land audit spearheaded by the Zimbabwe Land Commission, with identification of land available for allocation, the Provincial Land Committees will seek to screen applicants in terms of set criteria and recommend to the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement for allocation. 


In the meantime those who require land should complete the requisite form which is available on request at the Embassy, however, it should be noted that while applications can be received from those applying for land, it is not possible to allocate land to all applicants.
